Strider Names Former Mitsubishi Electric Executive Takashi Ito as Advisor

Trailblazer established model for private sector economic security programs, and is regarded as one of Japan’s foremost thought leaders on economic security

Salt Lake City, UT (May 14, 2025)  – Strider Technologies, Inc. the leading provider of strategic intelligence, today announced that Takashi Ito, former Corporate Executive of Mitsubishi Electric, is joining the company as an Advisor. In this role, Ito will help guide Strider’s continued expansion to meet with growing economic security demands of organizations throughout Japan.

Takashi Ito is the former Senior General Manager of the Corporate Economic Security Division at Mitsubishi Electric. This division was recognized as Japan’s first dedicated economic security department within a private company when Ito established it in 2020. Having joined Mitsubishi Electric in 1986, Ito participated in the reorganization of the Japanese semiconductor industry.

Ito is regarded as one of Japan’s foremost thought leaders on economic security, having helped shape of the direction of private sector initiatives in this field. Since completing his term at Mitsubishi in March 2025, he is now sharing his economic security knowledge and experience with organizations across various sectors. Ito received his law degree from Keio University in Minato, Japan.

伊藤隆氏は、三菱電機の元経済安全保障統括室長です。伊藤氏が2020年に設立した同部署は、日本初の民間企業内の経済安全保障専門の部署として知られています。伊藤氏は1986年に三菱電機に入社し、日本の半導体産業の再編に携わりました。

伊藤氏は経済安全保障に関する日本屈指のオピニオン・リーダーであり、この分野における民間主導の経済安全保障の方向性を形作る一翼を担ってきました。2025年3月に三菱電機での任期を終えてからは、経済安全保障に関する知識と経験をさまざまな分野の組織に啓蒙する活動に取り組んでいます。慶應義塾大学法学部卒業。法学学士。
